Domestic abuse means that in a friendship, relationship, or marriage, someone is using abuse to have power or control over you. It is not legal for one person to abuse another person and you have a right to live a life of safety and happiness. Our experiences show that there are many different types of abuse. They can include:
Stopping your freedom
Hurting your body
Hurting your mind and feelings
Stopping you from having money or your things like your passport.
