Frequently Asked Questions

If the need is urgent, we’re able to put care in place in as little as 24-48 hours, sometimes less – it all depends on your own unique situation

Yes, some of our current service users are receiving full or part funding from the local authority, or they are on a direct payment scheme. To claim from your local council, start by arranging a care needs assessment with them

We do believe in continuity in care, and we understand that familiar faces are essential for our service users. However, at times, we will provide you with a replacement carer due to sickness or during the holiday period. We will always let you know of any changes in advance

While we are unable to arrange in-person meetings ahead of the carer’s arrival, we can arrange for the Field Care Supervisor to introduce the worker during your first care visit

Any equipment required for the support of your or your loved one’s care would need to be arranged by your GP or an Occupational Therapist

All carers undergo an intense five-day induction training at the start of their employment and yearly refresher training in health and social care. We also provide specialist training for all carers throughout the year

Yes! All carers undergo an enhanced DBS check, specific to their role with Hopscotch
